Emergency Response Program

The events of 2020 have accelerated the need for schools to have a distance learning program fully implemented so they are prepared in the event of a long-term school closure.  Districts that have already done so have been able to respond to this national emergency with no interruption to the instruction of the students they serve.

For districts that do not yet have a comprehensive distance learning program in place, a special Emergency Response Program has been created.  This program is designed to support schools in the immediate deployment of Acellus, including large scale district-wide implementations.

An Emergency Response Team has received specialty training in how to get schools up and running right away.  Through the help of these specialists, teachers will receive the training needed immediately, and students can begin working in the system within 24 hours of initial contact.

Getting started is a simple 4-step process:

  1. Contact the Emergency Response Team Hotline at 816-622-5000 to get a matching grant proposal for your school.  The team of specialists will also be able to answer any questions about Acellus, and deploying it in your school.
  2. Once you are ready to begin, activate the matching grant proposal electronically.
  3. Enroll teachers in the one-hour Acellus Online Quick-Start Training.  All that is needed are their names and email addresses.  Teachers will be automatically emailed their log-in instructions as well as the details of taking the Quick-Start Training Course.
  4. Once students are assigned to their classes, the system will email students sign-in cards with instructions on how to get started in their Acellus coursework.

When students are working in their Acellus classes they will move forward at their own pace. Courses are video-based, self-contained and automatically graded, so that students can easily progress through the courses without teachers needing to create individual lesson plans or assignments.  Acellus covers all core classes K-12, a wide range of electives, career courses, and Advanced Placement offerings.

For questions or to get started, call the Emergency Response Team Hotline at 816-622-5000.
