Tech-Gadget of the Day
Sometimes we scientists and parents need to take a little time out to pamper ourselves — like using technology for little creature-comforts instead of for purely intellectual applications or to manage our children’s complex schedules.
So, I’ve found something for the tech-gadget lover in us all, a creature-comfort application I’ve been looking for for a long time.
Yes, it looks like a regular coffee mug, but it’s a mug that, through some sophisticated and clever application of technology, is able to keep my coffee at the perfect temperature— for hours.
We all know coffee isn’t the same when it’s not the “right” temperature. And when it is, which is sometimes a fleeting few moments, it’s a whole different experience.
So just what is it about this mug that makes it my choice for “Tech-Gadget of the Day”?
– I can set the exact temperature I want (for me, it’s 130 degrees)
– I can run it from an app on my phone
– I get to pick the color of LED . . . “personalize” my mug (very important, I’m sure)
* It’s a sophisticated technology in a great application
The bottom of the mug has a built-in circular connector for quick and easy charging no matter how you set it down on its coaster.
If you’re like me, it’s nice to feel in control, and being in control of our morning . . . or at least of the temperature of our coffee in the morning . . . is a small but definite start.

No – I’m not in any way affiliated with this product — except that I like it.
